    LikuLiku Lagoon Resort

    LikuLiku Lagoon Resort

With more than 300 tropical islands to nurture for the future, in an archipelago that spans three million square kilometres, the luxury travel experience in Fiji supports the belief that sublime, authentic and ‘best’ escapes can synergise seamlessly with conservation and sustainability, to the benefit of all.

InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa
    Play and Stay

A serene beachfront location at Natadola Bay, coupled with a world-class, championship, Vijay Singh-designed 18-hole golf course overlooking coral reefs — this is where luxury meets leisure on Viti Levu’s famed Coral Coast.

The resort’s Natadola Suite is a private, 218m² two-bedroom residence, set on the prestigious Club InterContinental hilltop, with private pool and personalised iTokani service. Golfers can play a round on one of the most picturesque and relaxing courses in the world, with a Pacific Ocean vista on one side and lush foliage-flanked hills on the other.

The resort invites guests to get hands-on during their stay and take part in its coral propagation experience, including assisting in the coral nursery and encouraging keen divers to help re-house coral on the seabed floor.

    Kokomo Private Island
    Marine conservation

Surrounded by the Great Astrolabe Reef, the world’s fourth-largest reef, Kokomo Private Island is a dream destination for divers and conservationists. Located in the Kadavu Islands, south of Viti Levu, this extraordinary luxury private island was created and lovingly nurtured by Australian developer, Lang Walker, and showcases the island’s natural beauty, in harmony with an ultra-private, exclusive guest destination.

Arrival by private plane lets you in on the secret — a bird’s eye view of the astonishing reef below puts Kokomo’s ‘exclusive’ reputation in perspective.

With a strong commitment to conservation, Kokomo ensures that sustainability is fundamental to all undertakings. A mangrove research program helps coral survive global warming; water is bottled in a plant on the island to minimise single-use plastic; and resident Marine Biologist, Cliona O’Flaherty, oversees Kokomo’s vision for a sustainable future, including heading a new and valuable research initiative, established in 2019 to tag manta rays, led by Luke Gordon (Project Leader of The Manta Project Fiji).

    Tokoriki Island Resort
    Romance and fine cuisine

The northernmost resort in the stunning Mamanuca Island group bears an iconic and award-winning name, built on its decades-long reputation, through multiple incarnations, to become the sublime adults-only resort it is today. The ultra-private and pristine location, elegant design sympathetic to its island surroundings, and impeccable attention to detail have garnered Tokoriki Island Resort many deserved accolades.

And its cuisine is legendary in Fiji. Experience fresh lobster and prawns prepared to your specifications, fresh and flavoursome Asian Pacific fusion delicacies, and Champagne. Dine-in or dine-out in any number of exquisite settings, from dawn to sunset, with butler service and the expansive ocean and sky as your backdrop. This is where luxury, romance, fine dining, nature, a tropical paradise — and the stars — collide.

    Yasawa Island Resort & Spa
    Private picnic

The remote and breathtaking ‘Yasawas’ are blessed with endless skies and endless sea and, at the very top of the island group, sits the eponymous Yasawa Island. The Resort is 22km long, has 11 beaches and only 18 luxury bungalows, so privacy is a given here. Each bungalow is secreted in lush vegetation, but only steps from the island’s famed white sands. Choose a stunning beach location and play castaway, with the resort’s chefs creating a bespoke private picnic experience just for you.

Swim in the turquoise waters, snorkel colourful reefs, laze in the sun and surrender to this natural paradise, undisturbed while you dine al fresco on a private beach. So unspoiled is this part of Fiji, the Yasawas were closed to tourists until 1987. To experience firsthand why preservation was so important, take a short boat trip from the resort to the famous Blue Lagoon Caves where the colours of the water must be seen to be believed, and natural waterfalls cascade into the warm lagoon. Yes, it really is just like the movie!

    LikuLiku Lagoon Resort
    Wildlife conservation

At this adults-only, Fijian-owned resort on Malolo Island, in the Mamanuca archipelago of western Fiji, you can get up close and personal to the residents — the rare crested iguana. LikuLiku, part of Ahura Resorts, has established an important breeding program for the endangered species, and guests staying here can learn more from the onsite professionals tasked with caring for the emerald-green creatures, once thought to be extinct. Ahura has worked with researchers from Sydney’s Taronga Zoo and California’s San Diego Zoo to identify any major threats to the iguanas and to implement a plan to help restore their natural habitat to see them thrive.
