Equally startling and exciting, spotting A-listers is part of everyday life in star-studded Los Angeles. Celebrities flock to West Hollywood to dine, shop, party and take meetings at all sorts of local businesses. If you find yourself rubbing shoulders with famous faces of the big and small screen, be nice! Remember, celebrities need space, too…even if they can ditch the unwanted attention via private entrances.

    Delilah

This sexy, modern-day supper club is a fave among the celebrity set. Photography is forbidden inside so that celebs can party in peace. Drake, Kendall Jenner and Justin and Hailey Bieber are a few people who have been spotted at the vintage-inspired venue. Tip: Head next door to Employees Only for a nightcap of prohibition-style cocktails.

    Urth Caffé

Always buzzing with a trendy Melrose Avenue crowd, Urth Caffé offers casual indoor/outdoor dining and some of the best organic coffees and teas in all of LA. The menu also features fresh, healthy salads, soups and sandwiches, plus pies, cakes and other decadent desserts. Katy Perry, Jessica Alba and Jake Gyllenhaal are a few of the celebs who have been known to frequent Urth Caffé’s Melrose location, and the HBO series Entourage filmed several episodes here.

    Tower Bar

The elegant Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel has drawn celebrities since the 1940s (you can see pictures of some of them on the walls). At night, the dim, flickering candlelight provides a perfect cover for stars going incognito, and the distant sparkle of city lights from the pool deck creates a glamorous backdrop that screams “A List.”

    Cavatina

Cavatina is located inside the legendary Sunset Marquis Hotel, also frequented by celebs. The vibe is totally California; the ingredients, market-fresh. The main dining room exudes casual elegance, but hey, this is LA, so sit outside and enjoy the stars both above and around you.

    Dan Tana’s

Showbiz types have been dining at this little yellow bungalow just south of the Sunset Strip since 1964. With cozy red-leather booths and checkered tablecloths, Dan Tana’s oozes family-style Italian charm with an added helping of Hollywood glitz.

    Craig’s

Owner Craig Susser spent 23 years at Dan Tana’s and then ventured out on his own with this classic American eatery that’s one part old Hollywood charm and two parts upscale with a friendly vibe. Their menu is American-Italian with seafood, meat, pizza and vegan options. Famous visitors include George Clooney, Ozzy Osbourne, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, and the cast of Game of Thrones.

    DOGPOUND Gym

Always keep your eyes peeled for celebrities on Robertson Avenue, which is lined with incredibly trendy shops, spas and gyms. This gym is owned by elite trainer and entrepreneur Kirk Myers, who can take a good part of the credit for the chiseled physiques of Hugh Jackman, Adam Levine and several Victoria’s Secret models.

    Cecconi’s

With Venetian roots, established in London and now in West Hollywood, Cecconi’s features a chic crowd, upscale Italian-inspired fare and an elegant-yet-relaxed dining room. Open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends. We won’t be surprised if you’re tempted to stay all day long.

    SUR Restaurant & Lounge

It’s been a decade since SUR (short for “Sexy Unique Restaurant,” btw) first graced TV screens on Vanderpump Rules. Since then, the restaurant, the show and the food have taken on a life of their own. The eclectic menu showcases global influences, from the Hamachi and Avocado Sashimi at the raw bar to classic steaks and pasta entrees. Surprising no one, the cocktails are on point, whether you’re popping in for the well-loved happy hour or settling in for bottomless brunch beneath a tassled umbrella outside. With luck, your resy might just coincide with filming.

    Tom Tom Restaurant & Bar

On any given Sunday, Santa Monica Boulevard and adjoining streets are buzzing with festivity. This newest restaurant in the Vanderpump family’s West Hollywood empire (which also includes nearby SUR) draws Bravo fans in droves for its beloved Sunday brunch. You may see TV crews filming, as the venues don’t shy away from the cameras, and neither should you!

    The Comedy Store

Virtually every night of the week, you can see household-name comics (along with exciting up-and-comers) at this legendary comedy club. Founded by Sammy Shore (father of MTV personality Pauly Shore) and run by his wife, Mitzi, for years, “The Store” helped launch the careers of everyone from Robin Williams to David Letterman. Modern-day regulars include Marc Maron, Neal Brennan and Patton Oswalt.

    Training Mate

Khloé Kardashian’s Revenge Body often called upon celebrity trainer Luke Milton and his West Hollywood gym, Training Mate, to help people sculpt their best comeback bodies. Snag a single class pass or a week’s membership while you’re in WeHo and see who you spot while staying fit.

    Rocco’s

Co-owned by Lance Bass, this lively venue proudly calls itself “the Heart of WeHo” on its Instagram (as of this writing). Open-air dining and dynamic programming keep locals and tourists enjoying a world-famous Sunday Funday. Tip: Start at Rocco’s and head west toward The Abbey, stopping at fun points along the way. Or vice versa!

    Drake’s Hollywood

This new hot spot on Melrose evokes an atmosphere of old Hollywood, even though it just opened in 2022. Expect to see the crème de la crème of new Hollywood here; Olivia Culpo, Paris Jackson and Storm Reid were among the celebs who turned up at Drake’s grand opening party.

    Catch

Daily Beast called Catch “LA’s coolest celebrity restaurant” back in 2016, and it hasn’t cooled off since then. The swankiest rooftop bar scene and a menu of creative seafood preparations are the perfect combination for celebrities at this Melrose Avenue eatery. Past celeb sightings include Cindy Crawford, Paris Hilton and David Beckham.
